call me crazy

I hardly ever spend money, but when I do, I

I never planned on getting a Blu-ray player....didn't really think it was worth the expense. Then this was announced. So I go to amazon.com, apply and actually get approved for a credit card, and order a Panasonic portable Blu-ray player, case, the Star Wars saga and X-Men First Class! LOL That's what I get for being obsessed with Star Wars.

LOL! We love our BluRay player! except now we keep getting messages that we need to make sure it's up to date. Only we have yet to figure out how to make sure of this.

I'm worried it will be too complicated for me, but I had to do it for Star Wars!

That's part of the reason I never wanted to get one, but you can play regular DVD's on a blu-ray player so I don't have to re-buy my entire collection! I couldn't resist for all that awesome extra Star Wars footage.

I may well end up being disappointed, but it's too late now! And I don't already own my own copies of any of them on DVD, so I may as well invest in this.

If I had the money--and a better TV--I would totally be on board. OVER 40 HOURS OF NEW FOOTAGE, OMG! *salivates* I do have a Blu-ray player; Sarah bought me one for Mother's Day this year so I could have Deathly Hallows 1 with extras, since only Blu-Ray DVDs come with extras any more.

I might spring for the original Trilogy though! I only just tolerate Phantom Menace and can't seem to get through AotC without being bored to tears, lol Empire Strikes Back will ALWAYS be my favorite. <3

They've also released LOTR Trilogy on Blu-Ray which I will need to own someday. ;)

Empire is my favorite, too. Out of the prequel Trilogy, I do like Revenge of the Sith. I will eventually get the LOTR Trilogy, and I'm going to wait until the inevitable release of the entire Harry Potter saga on Blu-ray. For the most part, I'll probably stick with DVD's, unless the extras are absolutely amazing on Blu-ray.
